“MARCH, 2008 – Dancot Construction in Hotchkiss, Colorado, was recently awarded, by Chief Buildings in Nebraska, the Million Dollar Award for being the number one distributor of Chief Steel Buildings in Colorado for 2007. Dancot constructs steel buildings such as indoor horse arenas, covered arenas, horse barns, warehouses, truck terminals and airplane hangers, just to name a few."

Dancot Construction is an authorized Chief Builder since 1985. We are nearby and ready to serve your planning and construction needs. Dancot Construction is a design/build specialist of pre-engineered buildings in the business industry. We are prepared to serve as your single source builder and welcome involvement in everything from site selection, zoning and building permits to interior finish, exterior landscaping and parking.

Dancot Construction has served the design/build needs for many businesses including Ameron Pipe Manufacturing in San Diego, Ca. General Electric Aircraft Division of Mojave, Ca. Stor-Stuff Mini Storage 588 units in Lancaster, Ca. Talbott farm’s Inc. Juice factory and Cold Storage of Palisade, Co. John Lyon’s Horse and Training Facilities in Parachute, Co, and an 18 airplane hanger project in Glenwood Springs Colo. In 2007 Dancot furnished and erected seven buildings for C.E.S.I. in west Rifle. We have just finished the new Flint Energy Service Building in the Rifle Industrial Park. At present we are constructing a complete new facility for CUDD Energy Services in Fruita, CO, which including all infrastructures is over 45,000 sq. feet. There are five buildings: a training building, office building, shop building, storage building, fuel island, sand silos, acid dock, chemical storage, and parking facilities, together with over 61,000 sq. feet of concrete. This will be their main headquarters for Colorado and Utah.

In 1984, the company began specializing in design/build projects and sales of pre-engineered steel buildings. Dancot is recognized as a leader in this industry in western Colorado. Danny Cotten has hands-on experience in all phases of industrial, commercial and general engineering construction, and has 45 years of continued construction experience.

Danny Cotten was a licensed General Engineering Contractor and General Building Contractor for 20+ years in California before returning to Colorado in 1992 where he and his wife grew up. Dancot is licensed where it is required in Colorado. For the last 20 years Dancot has specialized primarily in pre-engineered metal building design sales and erection and does general contracting as well.

Our Employees include Danny D. Cotten - Owner, Bill Welch, and Janelle Hollister. Bill Welch was brought on board as a Superintendent in April of 2008. Janelle Hollister is the Office Manager and the newest addition to DanCot Construction.

Design/Build contractor means we have on staff or under contract, draftsmen, engineers and architects; to produce quick design and cost estimates for our potential customers.
